The Folstein 1975 Mini Mental State or MMSE is a standardized clinical instrument for the assessment of cognitive functions designed for rapid detection of cognitive deficits, particularly in geriatrics.In France, MMS is recommended as a screening test by HAS (Diagnosis and management of Alzheimers disease and related syndromes).It allows a comprehensive assessment of the cognitive functions of a patient.
